In the first game of the night the Rogers Heritage Lady War Eagles took on the Springdale Lady Red Dogs at Bulldog Gymnasium. The Lady War Eagles came into the game with an overall record of 14-6 and 5-2 in 6A West Conference play. The Lady Bulldogs came into the game with an overall record of 3-17 and 0-6 in 6A West Conference play. Rogers Heritage was led in scoring by Senior Guard Lilly Stitt with 22 points in a 75-30 win. Springdale would be led by freshman Carolinda Hudson with 13 points. Rogers Heritage goes to 15-6 overall and 6-2 in 6A West Conference play. Springdale drops to 3-18 overall and 0-7 in 6A West Conference play. In the second game of the night the Rogers Heritage War Eagles took on the Springdale Bulldogs at Bulldog Gymnasium. The War Eagles came into the game with an overall record of 7-12 and 1-6 in 6A West Conference play. The Bulldogs entered the game with an overall record 13-5 and 4-2 in 6A West Conference play. After the first quarter of the game, it would be completely deadlocked at 15. Springdale was led by freshman Courtland Muldrew with 7 points. Rogers Heritage was led by Micah Hill with 8 points. In the second quarter Springdale and Heritage would continue to exchange bucket for bucket with Springdale being led by freshman Isaiah Sealy with 8 points. Senior Carson Simmons led Heritage with 7 points. Rogers Heritage would go into half clinging to a 33-31 lead. In the second half Springdale turned up the offensive and defensive intensity and built a double-digit lead 48-37 after the third quarter. In the fourth quarter Springdale would build a comfortable double-digit lead before Heritage cut it down to a 4 point deficit trailing only 55-51. Springdale closed the game strong and finished the game outscoring Heritage 13-9 in points to win the game 68-60. Springdale had 4 players in double figures for the night with freshman Courtland Muldrew scoring 18 points, freshman Isaiah Sealy scoring 15, junior Tevin Tate scoring 11 points and senior Anderson Isaacks scoring 10 points. Heritage was led by senior Micah Hill with 25 points. Rogers Heritage drops to 7-13 overall and 1-7 in 6A West conference play. Springdale will improve to 14-5 overall and 5-2 in 6A West conference play. Anderson Isaacks On his performance in the game tonight: “My performance tonight went based on how my teammates were playing, so if they were up, it got me inspired to go above and dig deep and find something else” On how they really came out strong on both sides of the ball in the second half: “I think it was just effort, we had a talk in the locker-room, we were just like hey we have to turn this up and play our basketball because we weren’t really playing how we normally play so when we got that opportunity it helped us build an early lead in the second half. “ Story by Will Johnson
